Junior Section Minimize


A Junior Section player vs Dorset County FA Representitive team


The Junior Section is run for boys and girls aged between 7-11 years of age. A high level of coaching is provided to help children develop in their football.

Content
The club's curriculum for this age group is specifically designed to be age appropriate. 
Technical content in sessions is focused around developing technical skills through fun, competitive but non comparative technique specific games. A tactical element is introduced within the small sided format, e.g. 2v2, 4v4 and 6v6 conditioned games. Positive decision making is introduced thrugh helping children learn how to make decisions in dynamic situations.

Coaching Staff
The coaching sessions will be run by very experienced coaches with extensive qualifications, experience and track record in cocahing football to youngsters. 

When and Where
Between September and April, training sessions run on Monday evenings from 6:00pm - 7:00pm at: - 
Marlwood School,
Vattingstone Lane, 
Alveston, Bristol.

The training will be run on a brand new 3rd Generation Astro-turf facility. Please bring suitable footwear. Blades and long studs are not allowed. Moulded studs, Astro-turfs and Trainers are allowed. Shinpads must be worn.
We will break on a few dates for holidays. So please click here to see a training timetable.

During May and August, training sessions run on Monday evenings on a grass surface from 6:00-7:30pm at: -
Yate Outdoor Sports Complex,

Competitive Matches
During the season, squads will be selected to play regular matches against other development centres.

Long Term
Those players who excel in the Junior Section will be invited to take part in the Development Section Squads in the U12-16 squads in future seasons, playing in the Junior Premier League South.

Cost
The first week's training is free. Thereafter, training costs £20 per month.
