Strategy
To understand the key movements to create space for each position
Organisation
Split team into two groups of Wide and Central Players
Central Midfield + Centre Forwards
Movements sideways to create space to check back to receive
Practice as below

1) Starting Position

2) As ball is coming to team mate sprint wide

3) Only go a few yards just to suck in defender before quickly changing direction to run inside (not towards ball)

4) Take ball on back foot and turn instantly to be able to face goal and attack towards the goal
Wide Midfielders and Full Backs
(Centre Half's and Goalkeepers to join in with this group)
Movements forward and back to create space to check back to receive
Extension - back to forward to create space
Practice as below

1) As the ball is being passed to the full back/centre half, the wide midfielder sprints down the line

2) He then suddenly slams on the brakes and turns, using his hand to hold his opponent from turning

3) before sprinting straight down the line
(not towards the passer as body will be closed)

4) then taking with back foot to turn if enough space or taking touch inside with front foot if not (above)
11v11 shadow play
Players practice the movements in a realistic situation at a slower pace. Players should defend realistically without tackling. Then let the opposition have the ball and practice in opposite direction.
11v11 free play
Build to a faster pace before slowly allowing tacking to a full realistic game
